    Come and join us for this fun, challenging and rewarding hula hoop dance course. We'll be focusing on a different part of the body each week, classes are gently guided and there's time for individual questions and development. You'll use muscles you didn't know you had and give your brain a workout.

    If you've got to grips with the basics of on-body and some basic off-body moves, then this is for you. Over the 7 weeks we'll play with angles, rolls and transitions to help you add more dynamic moves, confidence and flow to your dance.

    WHAT SHOULD I BRING?

    • Bring your hoop if you have one!
       
    • Stay hydrated - bring a bottle of water.

    DO I NEED TO BE A DANCER / HAVE COORDINATION?

    Nope.

    You're all good.
    All are welcome provided you're fit to exercise.

    WHAT IF I CAN'T DO IT?

    Emilie's a skilled teacher, she'll put you at ease and within a week or 2 most people grasp most things.

    If not, all you'll need is a little more practice.

    Wear something comfortable that's not too dangly.

     

    Natural fibres are good.

    Everyone can hoop! Online hoop dance classes, tutorials and workshops in your area.

    Emilie Joy Rowell

    Professional hoop dancer.

    Emilie has been teaching hoop dance for over 10 years. She first picked it up in 2009 after seeing Grace Jones rock the hoop on stage; she realised life was missing something circular and started learning. Since then she’s been hooked on hoop and has performed in large choreographed acts as well as solo and smaller group shows across the UK, and was in the final 10 of Hooping Idol 2014.

     

    She’s taught over 1,000 people to hoop at classes, festivals and workshops including pensioners, policemen, toddlers and bankers. Interested in hooping as a release and a challenge; a tool for creativity and health.

     

    She's also a fully qualified yoga teacher, so you know you're in safe hands.

    Classes and Workshops

    1. Block Bookings (i.e. a course of classes) may be cancelled in certain medical circumstances by arrangement. If there is a waiting list for your course and a cancellation is made more than 2 weeks in advance of the course start date, I will try and fill your place if. No refunds will be made for cancellations within 2 weeks of the course start date or after a course has begun.

    2. Private Classes will be refunded or rescheduled if 7 full days notice is given, a 30% refund or alternative booking will be offered if more than 48 hours notice is given.

    3. Concessionary Discounts are available - please discuss with Emilie to get a discount code.

    4. A booking is confirmed once I and the client have both agreed a date, time, duration and location fo the session.

    5. I reserve the right to refuse admission.     

    6. I reserve the right to alter the programme delivery or teaching staff if circumstances are beyond my control (e.g. illness, venue problems, emergencies etc.)

    7. If a class or workshop has to end or is interrupted for reasons beyond my control sessions will not be refunded.

    8. Latecomers may be admitted at the discretion of management and teacher/workshop leader.

    9. Timetable may be subject to change during the school holidays.

    10. Refunds will be issues or an alternative offered is sessions are cancelled by us.

    11. Refunds may take up to 30 days to process.
