Hoop dance is a beautiful fusion of dance,
play and circus skills.
It can take many forms - a way to keep fit,
a movement meditation, choreographed dance,
with LED's or fire hoop dance becomes a stunning glow show.
Hooping can be :
meditative, energising, playful, calming and fun.
It's individual. A fun, healthy, all-round happy-making activity for people of all ages and stages.

LEARN TO HOOP
Everyone can hoop! Online hoop dance classes, tutorials and workshops in your area.
Emilie has been playing with hoop dance since 2009 when she saw Grace Jones hoop, realised life was missing something circular and found Emma Kenna’s classes. Since then she’s been hooked on hoop and has performed in large choreographed acts as well as solo and smaller group shows across the UK, and was in the final 10 of Hooping Idol 2014.
She’s taught over 1,000 people to hoop at classes, festivals and workshops including pensioners, policemen, toddlers and bankers. Interested in hooping as a release and a challenge; a tool for creativity and health.
Emilie studied Fine art In Context and has worked in moving image, glass and physical performance.
Her work has been shown across the U.K. and Japan.
Fully insured Equity member.
As a hoop dancer she’s performed in front of crowds up to 10,000 people at venues including the O2, Speigeltent, Secret Garden Party and Wilderness Festivals. Working with single, double hoop, fire hoop, LED hoops, fire fans and fire palms; Emilie loves performing live and has been involved in large scale shows with Macnas, Protein Dance and Fireworks Collective.
Super fun classes and workshops for children of all ages, from toddlers to teens.
Emilie has years of experience in teaching little hoopers; in schools, festivals and event settings.
She is DBS checked and has a safeguarding policy in place.
Feedback from classes and workshops
"Thank you for a fab day - every class voted it their favourite activity of the week."
- Rachel Clark

"I learned more in one hooping session with Emilie than I've learned in half a dozen exercise classes with other teachers. It was also about forty times more fun.
